FIGHT FOR FPIES Charitable Seminars and Fundraiser June 29, 2013!
We are proud to team up with the founder of
www.iaffpe.org, Fallon Schultz and the members of The Karate Dojo and our surrounding community to support the fight against FPIES! We will be hosting a full day of events on June 29th at our Jackson Crossings location. The morning will be full of seminars (see attached flyer) and the evening a full gift auction at "The Hall" also located in our plaza (see attached flyer).

YAP Awards at Hemingway’s Café
On Wednesday, March 20th, The United Way of Ocean County presented 26 people with YAP Awards at Hemingway’s Café in Seaside Heights. YAP Awards, (which stands for Young Altruistic Professional), have been presented to individuals age 18-39 since 2010 in recognition of outstanding volunteerism and philanthropy in Ocean County. This year, the YAP Awards nomination process was adjusted to focus on those who have done extraordinary things in response to Superstorm Sandy. One of those 26 Winners was our very own Master Eric Alders of The Karate Dojo.
On February 16, Master Alders hosted Girl Scouts troop #34 at The Karate Dojo. Master Alders taught a FREE self-defense, anti-bully seminar and how to overcome your fears through board breaking. The troop leaders loved it and even had an article posted on the official
We are excited to announce two summer camps that we will have this August at The Karate Dojo.
1) Is a full week that will offer exciting daily themes such as takedowns, grappling, knife defense, striking and a full day with just games and fun. All of the camps are only $50 a day and include pizza and juice. Savings are available if you attend multiple days of camp. This camp will be held at our Jackson Crossings location.
2) We will also be hosting a Final Evaluation camp at our Five Corners Location. These Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Final Evaluation camps are a great way to help students prepare to advance to the next level and prepare for their Brown Senior and Black Belt exams.
On March 30, 2013, our very own Anthony Guido, entered the cage at Dead Serious 6 Amateur MMA. It took him only 2 minutes and 30 seconds to submit his opponent, John Kealy, via Rear Naked Choke! His hard work and determination paid off. We are so proud of Anthony, especially since he joined The Karate Dojo over 4 years ago at over 200lbs and competed in this match at 152lbs! Great job sir, we can't wait for your next match!

6th Annual Banquet
We had our 6th Annual Banquet on January 20th and it was a success once again. Congratulations to all of our award winners. A special congrats to Dan Chandler for being promoted to Sensei!
On December 1st we hosted our last Black Belt Testing of the year. Mr. Cole Stephens became our 20th 1st Degree Black Belt and Mr. Ryan Palmer and Mr. Dan Chandler were tested and promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt!
Hurricane Sandy Help
Hurricane Sandy Help - As everyone know Hurricane Sandy hit NJ very hard. Our two locations were shut down for two weeks from the storm but it's nothing compared to the damage of our friends and neighbors. Like true martial artists, our parents, students and families pulled together for three weeks turning The Karate Dojo into a drop off point for storm victim supplies. We were proud to donate multiple truckloads of supplies throughout the tri-state area. Master Alders worked hand in hand with Jackson Mayor Reina to coordinate all of the donations and it was our honor to help!
