Our dojo is run by Head Instructor/Owner and 5th Dan Black Belt Master Eric Alders, who founded a unique martial arts system called Yuugou-Ryu (Fusion System).  Our elite curriculum combines Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Hapkido, Aikido, Goju-Ryu, Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which provides a complete fusion of martial arts from the ground up!

Century Martial Arts
	On July 22, 2011 in Las Vegas Nevada, Century Martial Arts (largest martial art supplier in the world) honored their top 100 customers in the world. The Karate Dojo was in the top 10 and received a Gold Award from CEO and Founder of Century, Mike Dillard presented the award.
2011 Martial Arts Supershow in Las Vegas
	During the July Martial Arts Supershow in Las Vegas, NV Master Eric Alders was invited to assistant coach Master Ricardo Liborio at a Level 1 Certification. He was joined by coaches Roger Krahl, Bob Deluca, and UFC Pro Fighters Gleison Tibau and Rich Attonito.
Proclamation
	On August 9, 2011 Mayor Mike Reina of Jackson, NJ presented Master Eric Alders and Paul Alders with a Proclamation to The Karate Dojo for their outstanding charitable work and community service in Jackson. We are honored by the recognition.  Read More
Blue Claws Event
	The Karate Dojo was chosen to perform at Lakewood Blue Claws Baseball Stadium  in front of 5000 people on July 9, 2011.  Master Alders was also chosen to win the Group Leader award and threw out the 1st Pitch!  Photos can be viewed by Clicking this link
The 2011 NAGA Battle at The Beach in Wildwood, NJ
	Update on: The 2011 NAGA Battle at The Beach in Wildwood, NJ was held August 6-7th. We had four competitors at this event and came back with 3 medals! Competitors were Bretty Pityinger, Dalton Amburgey - 2nd Place, Colby Chmara - 3rd Place and Ariel Llaurador - 1st Place Gold! You may watch a few of the videos on our You Tube channel
Bubba Jenkins
	We had an amazing seminar with NCAA National wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins on July 17, 2011.   We teamed up with our good friend Steve Rivera of Elite Wrestling in Jackson to co-host the seminar.  Photos can be viewed here:
Dead Serious Grappling Tournament Results:
	On Saturday, June 11th, 9 students from The Karate Dojo competed in a local grappling tournament called Dead Serious. It brought competition from the tri-state area and from top schools/coaches such as Renzo Gracie, Ricardo Almeida & Kurt Pellegrino. All of our competitors placed receiving medals in 3rd, 2nd and 1st place! In addition, the team and The Karate Dojo won a trophy for the 2nd best overall team at the entire competition! The Karate Dojo graduates first black belt class over four years in the making
	The Karate Dojo of Jackson created it's first Black Belt Class on Saturday, April 23rd after a gruel-ing day long test of en-durance, skill and disci-pline that challenged students. The cold and rain didn’t help the situa-tion for students who have been training and practicing for over four years for this day. Read the article here
American Top Team MMA Students compete in NAGA grappling competition
	The Karate Dojo had 4 of it's American Top Team MMA Students compete in NAGA grappling competition this May. Two of our competitors receive 2nd Place Medals, including Ariel Llaurador (pictured) and Zach Jablonski who had 4 matches and won two by submission. We are very proud of all of our competitors including Brett Pityinger and John Kreckie who barely lost their matches by only a few points. Read the article here
2-Day MMA camp at American Top Team Headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida
	This past May 13-14, 2011 a group of Staff and Students went to a 2-Day MMA camp at American Top Team Headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida. The trip that was organzined by Head Coach Master Eric Alders, was an excellent training opportunity for the Karate and MMA students. Their intense training over two days involved private 2-hour classes with coaches: Head ATT Coach/Founder Ricardo Liborio - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu UFC Fighter Rich Attonito - Wrestling Strength and Conditioning at IHP (Institute for Human Performance) by owner JC Santana - Pro Conditioning facility of pro fighters and professional athletes. Cole Miller and Fernando "Fefe" Falkenbach American Top Team Seminar
	We had an amazing seminar on March 12th and March 13th with UFC Fighter Cole Miller on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Head Muay Thai Coach for American Top Team, Fefe Falkenbach.  We are always bringing world class training to our students at The Karate Dojo.  View the photos here!
The Karate Dojo now american top team level 3 certified!
	This past February, Master Eric Alders and Mr. Dan Chandler attended their final MMA certification with American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.  After a week of training, and over 6 hours a day on the mat, they were awarded their Level 3 certification from Master Ricardo Liborio.  Video here. This was the first Level 3 Certification in the world and now The Karate Dojo is amongst only 6 schools in the entire world with Level 3 certification from American Top Team!  Congratulations!  Photos here.
